Environmental Division Committee (Session 2020/21) – Ir Fredrick Leong (Co-opted Member)

Hello members, colleagues and friends. I wish you a healthy and prosperous 2021! I am a member of the HKIE under the Environmental and Energy disciplines. I newly joined the Committee of Environmental Division to serve our members.

I studied environmental science and have pursued my career as an environmental consultant for over 20 years. I work on sustainable design, green building assessment, environmental impact assessment, environmental monitoring and audit, environmental due diligence, waste management, site contamination assessment and remediation, landfill hazards, indoor air quality, industrial pollution control, etc.

My projects cover land reclamation, marine works, site formation, highways, bridges, tunnels, railways, airport facilities, sewage and drainage works, waste treatment facilities, industrial premises, commercial and residential developments, hotels, hospitals, data centers, recreation and sports facilities, educational institutions, hostels, temporary housing, etc.

I like hiking, travelling, bowling and snooker. I also like following the English Premier League particularly Manchester United.

I have a belief that “……an Environmental Engineer being able to draw knowledge and experience both in-depth and in-breath to cope with the ever changing and progressing society……” to fully practise problem solving skills.  Most welcome to get on touch with you for professional exchange.
