My name is Norman Cheng and I am currently serving on the committee of the HKIE environmental division.  I was the past chairman of the division for the 2018/2019 term.  It is a good opportunity to use social media as a platform to reach-out and give you a bit of background about myself!

I have been working in the environmental engineering industry as a contractor for more than 20 years, specializing in drinking water, wastewater, sludge, and solid waste treatment.  I have worked for local and multi-national companies over the years, and I was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit various establishments and work on environmental engineering projects in several locations under different contractual schemes.  Many of those projects included elements such as investment, design, construction, and operation of environmental management facilities.  Engineering projects in other regions have their own standards and are governed by local regulations.  Each time it was a great experience to immerse yourself into the local culture so that you could find the right formula to succeed!
