Noise Survey on UAVs and eVTOLs
 
 
Dear Members and Friends,

We are pleased to share that Arup have been appointed by the EPD Hong Kong SAR Government conduct a noise study on electric Vertical Take off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. These innovative aircraft are shaping the future of urban mobility, and the study is to assess potential impact on community wellbeing. The study includes acoustic measurements and surveys to evaluate potential annoyance levels associated with eVTOL noise. As part of this work, a listening test-based survey will be conducted. 

We would greatly appreciate your participation in the listening test and survey. You’re welcome to share it with friends and family too. Here are the details:

Dates: 13, 15-18, 29 December 2025 
Times: Weekdays: 10am-1pm % 2pm-8pm; Saturday: 10am-1pm
Duration: Around 30 minutes
Venue: AuraLab, 26/F Southorn Centre, 130 Henessy Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Languages available
‧ Survey conducted in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. 
‧ Questionnaire available in Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English. 

Eligibility 
Participants must be aged 18–75 and have no significant hearing impairment.
