Programme Highlights

O · PARK1, the first organic resources recovery centre, locating at Siu Ho Wan of North Lantau adopts anaerobic digestion technology to convert food waste into biogas (a source of renewable energy similar to natural gas) for electricity generation whilst the residues from the process can be produced as compost for landscaping and agriculture use. O · PARK1 is capable of handling 200 tonnes of food waste per day.

In the visit, participants will be guided to tour around the plant to better understand treatment lines and daily operation of the facility.

Prior registration is required. The technical visit is charged HK$60. The fee will be returned to payee when attending the visit. The participant is limited to 35. Only those successful applicant will be notified on or before 1 May 2019 for the payment.
