As one of the most developed cities in the world, Hong Kong is planned to develop into a world-class smart city. According to the Government’s Smart City Blueprint, “smart environment” is one of the 6 major areas in which innovation and technology will be embraced for a smart Hong Kong. Therefore, it is timely for HKIE Environmental Division to promote the discussion on how environmental innovation can be encouraged in Hong Kong. This forum would bring together various stakeholders including government, academics, research institutions, entrepreneurs and environmental startups to explore the opportunities and challenges in promoting environmental innovations in Hong Kong.

The forum comprises the keynote session and three other sessions: I) Overseas Experiences in Driving Environmental Innovation; II) Business Opportunities from Environmental Innovations; and III) Pitching of Environmental Technology Companies.
