Jointly Organized by CAD, AMC and EVD
Programme Highlights:
3D concrete printing (3DCP) is an innovative construction method
allows human labor to be replaced by digitally controlled robots. Using this technology, it expresses the
construction field to become error reduction, less waste materials, design more
flexible and complete the tasks in pre-designed schedule. However, the
application of 3D concrete printing is not so popular and widely used in Hong
Kong. The reason is that there are many building regulation standards for the design
and construction of building to ensure health and safety for people in or about
the buildings. Therefore, 3D concrete printing technology still has gaps to
develop in the construction industry.
In this seminar, it aims
to elaborate the tendency of how to make use the industrial robots
and gantry systems
to fabricate on-site and off-site building and construction components in Hong
Kong.
