Background:-
The BREEAM International New Construction (NC) 2016 scheme is a performance based assessment method and certification scheme for new buildings. the assessment criteria and process focuses on the design of the building from concept stage right through to a fully constructed building. It requires evidence to support the design and construction decisions and ensures they have been fully implemented. The assessments must be audited by independent BREEAM International NC assessors before certification can be granted.

Yangyan Du, BRE China Trainer and Technical Advisor. Yangyan is a BREEAM AP and licensed BREEAM International New Construction Assessor, graduated as environmental scientist and engineer at UNSW, has been involved in a number of projects in Australia and China. Yangyan is mainly responsible for green building design consulting (GB50378, BREEAM, DGNB, LEED), including LCA assessment, building carbon emission measurement, EHS assessment and sustainable development design work. Furthermore, Yangyan participates in a number of research and work for national and local Development and reform Commission, including standard-setting and auditing.
