Technical Visit to Lai Chi Wo

2017-12-16;9am-4pm;Registration and assembly at the Ma Liu Shui Pier at 08:45am for those successful applicants.

Programme Highlights:-

Lai Chi Wo is a beautiful, traditional rural landscape and culturally rich village in Hong Kong especially after revitalization project. It now proves to be very attractive to local tourists from the city and had even caught the attention of foreign visitors, such that Lai Chi Wo is now featured by Lonely Planet as top destination in Hong Kong.  This visit is arranged to have tour guides to introduce ecology, history, culture and existing sustainable project in Lai Chi Wo. A free time is provided to participants for visiting Geopark visitor centre and a new mini museum on rice farming in the village.

 

Speaker

Mr Lam Chiu Ying (林超英) is Chairman of the Environmental Campaign Committee.  In his capacity as Chairman of the Hong Kong Countryside Foundation, he is the initiator of the village revival efforts at Lai Chi Wo.

The registration fee includes 1) the boat pick up and return to Ma Liu Shui pier, 2) a lush Hakka lunch, and 3) tour guides.

 

Registration & Enquiries

The number of participants is limited to 50, and the applications will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. For registration, please complete the online enrollment form in EV Division website (http://ev.hkie.org.hk/).  The deadline for registration is 9th November 2017. Successful applicants will be notified by email individually.  For enquiries, please contact Ir Vinccent Lee at tel. 9329 9637.  Attendance certificate will be awarded after technical visit.
