Jointly Organised by EVD, CAD, and AMC
Programme
Highlights:
Membranes
are widely used in water, wastewater, and energy applications, thanks to their
high efficiency and simple operation. Exciting developments of novel membranes
and membrane-based processes have reported in the recent literature. In this
seminar, the speaker will highlight some of the latest research works in his
group. Examples of highlights include Aquaporin Inside Biomimetic Membranes
(AIMs®) - a technology patented by his group, ultra-permeable membranes with
rejection layers of less than 10 nm, membranes for point-of-use disinfection,
and strategies for designing membranes with enhanced removal efficiency of
endocrine disruptors in the context of wastewater reclamation. Novel membrane
processes, such as osmotic membrane bioreactor, will also be introduced.
