Technical Visit: Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant (TKODP)

Highlights
The Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant (TKODP) is one of the strategic infrastructures by WSD in its mission to provide reliable and adequate supply of wholesome potable water which is not susceptible to climate change.

Upon commissioning of the First Stage of TKODP, the production capacity of potable water is around 135 million litres per day (Mld), equivalent to 5% of daily fresh water consumption in Hong Kong, with future expansion to ultimate capacity of 270 Mld.

During the visiting, the guided tour will lead visitors through various locations to explore the construction and operation of Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant and offer visitors an immersive experience, featuring an introduction film presented on a 270-degree LED screen and a 4D experience within a simulated cave.

Seat Capacity is limited to 15 persons on first come first served basis. Deposit HK$100 is required and will return to the successful applicant if turn up for the visit. Pre-registration is required through on-line registration at https://forms.gle/iuuBEswUajoA4D4T7

Successful applicant and notice of payment will be notified separately. Deadline registration is on 26 March 2025.
