Due to cloud computing, virtualization and hyper-converged infrastructure, the requirement for a standard datacenter has changed dramatically for the last 10 years. Not only this complex infrastructure can be condensed into a smaller form factor with unlimited capacity, but also the demand for large scale server room space and the power capacity have declined.  Despite of such changes, the expectation for IT infrastructure is remain high in the aspects of reliability and availability standard to cope with a fully digitalization of today’s business model and the IOT application. In this seminar, you will learn the challenges and the opportunities for E & M and IT segments related to Green Datacenter solution and IOT application. 

In addition, you will also learn how our inhouse R & D’s development of an all-in-one datacenter solution aiming to tackle the current market requirements of IT infrastructure.  It is a series of all-in-one datacenter solutions that consists of all the necessary equipment of a standard datacenter in a single lockable rack offering the greenest and reliable environment for protecting critical IT equipment in a highly energy efficiency way.  Datacenter infrastructure management (DCIM) is an important element which helps in monitoring the overall status of green datacenter in terms of the energy and facility capacity.  Further to the DCIM development, our R & D has developed indoor air quality solution to monitor indoor air quality solution as part of the IOT application.

Mr Sam Chui, Managing Director, Chief Solution Consultant DCL Communication Limited, Founder of iDCmini Limited

Sam has played a significant role in datacenter design, associated E&M design and R&D in the IT infrastructure field for more than twenty-five years. In the past ten years, Sam is dedicated to promoting greener and standardized datacenters by implementing a number of significant datacenter and office infrastructure projects in the government, commercial, utilities and NGO sectors in Hong Kong & Macau.  Due to the global trend in cloud computing services as well as the strong demand for a relatively flexible, standardize and reliable mini datacenter in local and global markets, he co-worked with internal senior consultants to develop an all-in-one datacenter solution. Meanwhile, there are hundreds of all-in-one datacenter sites setup in Hong Kong, Macau and China.

Mr. Jacky Lai, BEng in Electronic Engineering, who has sales and engineer background for more than 20 years in electronic, E&M and IT industries.
