Programme Highlights:
On April 2019, an arrangement was entered into between the
relevant authorities in Hong Kong and Mainland
allowing mutual assistance in court-ordered interim measures in aid of arbitral
proceedings by the courts of both the Mainland and in Hong
Kong.
This arrangement came into effect on October 2019 and has already
been utilized by parties to arbitral proceedings with some success. Under this arrangement, such parties involved
in such arbitral proceedings which are administered by a qualified arbitral
institution may seek relief from Mainland Chinese courts for interim measures.
