Technical Seminar: Acoustic-aided Air Filtration – A new technology that improve IAQ and Energy Saving

Date, time & venue

2019-11-04;18:30-20:00;Chan Yat Mei Sophie Room – 9/F

Jointly Organized by EVD, CAD and AMC

Date, Assembly Time & Place

4 November 2019 (Monday) 18:30-20:00, HKIE-Chan Yat Mei Sophie Room

Programme Highlights:

More than 80% of the life cycle cost of an air filter is the energy cost, which is the extra energy consumption by the driving fan to overcome the pressure drop across the filter when maintaining the designed air flow rate. Acoustic-aided Air Filtration technology utilizes acoustic wave (sound wave) to induce vibrational motion on particles in air during filtration, which greatly improves filtration efficiency while does not increase the pressure drop across the air filter. This allows IAQ improvement, energy saving and consumables cost saving at the same time.
