Programme Highlights
Known as Hong Kong’s “Bird Paradise,” the Mai Po Nature Reserve
has been managed by WWF-Hong Kong since 1983. With its high diversity of
wetland habitats including gei
wais, mangroves, intertidal mudflats and reed-beds, the reserve is an
important habitat and staging site for water-birds. Some 60,000 birds form a
spectacular scene as they make their annual winter migration to roost in Deep
Bay
The Mangrove
Boardwalk tour offers a unique experience of walking on the
floating boardwalk in the middle of a magnificent mangrove forest. The walk’s
highlight includes getting on a floating hide where you can enjoy the
remarkable view of the Inner Deep Bay and glimpse the thriving mudflat ecology
and conservation practices in mangrove habitats ,
