Programme Highlights:
In this seminar, Ir Tai will share his valuable experience
on various engineering issues through his career route as a professional
engineer in public sector perspective.
Ir Tai has been responsible for various E&M engineering
services to other government departments and public bodies under a trading fund
accounting arrangement. The portfolio of the operation and maintenance
services mainly include electrical, mechanical, HVAC, lift & escalator,
fire services, electronics systems, biomedical equipment and vehicles; the facilities
cover hospitals, airport, transport infrastructures and government buildings.
Ir Tai received his BSc in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Hong Kong in 1980, and joined the HKSAR Government after
graduation. He became corporate member of Hong Kong Institution of
Engineers (HKIE) and Institution of Electrical Engineers in 1985. He
obtained his MSc in Public Health Engineering from Imperial College, University
of London in 1986. He became fellow member of HKIE in 2003.
He had served the HKIE as Chairman of the Electrical
Division, Council member and various committee and Boards. He is currently
a member of the Electrical Discipline Advisory Panel (ELL).
