Technical Seminar: Biodiversity-why should we care?

Programme Highlights:-

Following the launch of the Hong Kong’s First Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (BSAP) in December 2016, the Government is working on enhancing urban biodiversity and mainstreaming biodiversity to various sectors.  The seminars will highlight the key actions of the BSAP relevant to engineers, and introduce the concept of biodiversity enhancements in development projects with examples.

 

Speaker

Dr. Jackie Yip (葉彥) is Senior Conservation Officer (Biodiversity) of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. Her team is responsible for conducting surveys and studies on biodiversity, as well as overseeing the formulation and implementation of Hong Kong’s BSAP.

 

Registration & Enquiries

The seminar is free of charge with maximum of participants of 80.  For registration, please complete the online enrollment form in EV Division website (http://ev.hkie.org.hk/).  Successful applicants will be notified before the event.  For enquiries, please contact Mr Norman Cheng at 94676833.  Attendance certificate will be awarded after seminar.
