Programme Highlights
Hysan Place was officially opened in August 2012. It is a shopping mall and office building at Causeway Bay, Hong Kong developed by Hysan Development Company Limited at the former site of Hennessy Centre. The building has a host of green features which enables it to contribute to the sustainable development of the nearby area and its communities.
Hysan Place has been awarded LEED Platinum certification for Core and Shell by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It is the first LEED Platinum mixed use office and vertical mall complex in Greater China. In addition, Hysan Place has been awarded Platinum certification under BEAM Plus for new buildings.
In this technical visit, speakers will highlight how Hysan integrated the concept of sustainability into its thought process from the planning stages of Hysan Place onwards. Participants will have the opportunity to visit Hysan Place’s renowned green features including the rooftop Urban Farm, the Sky Wetland, the Sky Garden and some of the energy saving components.
