Programme Highlight
The
Chinese White Dolphin (CWD) is resident in Hong Kong’s western waters and the
Pearl River Estuary (PRE), and the population in PRE is unique as it is the
largest one along the China’s coastline. However, its abundance in Hong Kong
has shown to be declining in recent years. To enhance the awareness and
understanding of this beautiful creature, the trip is arranged to have a team
of experienced dolphin surveyors to introduce the habitat, behavior, and
surveying method of CWD.
Proposed Itinerary
- Assembly at Tung Chung MTR Station,
15-min walk to Tung Chung New Development Ferry Pier for departure.
- Introduction of CWD habitat
and behavior by experienced dolphin surveyors.
- Search CWD in West Lantau
waters
