Programme Highlight
The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) published new listing
rules in 2015 requesting all listing companies in Hong Kong to publish their
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report on an annual basis starting
from 2016.
Based on global experience, issuers, i.e. listing companies, of the ESG
report may reap the benefits of better risk management, improved access to
capital, greater capacity to meet supply chain demands and lower operational
costs, to name but a few of the advantages that ESG reporting could bring to
issuers’ business.
During the course of the ESG reporting, the market realizes that the
engineering knowledge plays an important role to lead quality ESG performance
disclosure. For example, carbon emissions,
waste management and pollution control.
This seminar aims to introduce the ESG reporting requirements and inspire
Engineers on how to potentially expand their services to lead and support in the ESG reporting.
