ISO 14064 training: Introduction

The United Nations Climate Change Committee (UNCC) meeting was held in Paris with 170+ world leaders attended. Former US President Barack Obama & PRC President Xi Jinping have announced that USA and PRC will reduce their GHG emission in the forthcoming years in order to stabilize the global temperature rise to less than 2 degree Celsius in the next two decades. During G20 meeting in Hangzhou, PRC, both Presidents signed the GHG treaty with a view to protecting the normal life of our next generation. This needs the concerted efforts of all human beings to reduce GHG emissions and corresponding carbon footprint. Life cycle analysis (LCA) is adopted to evaluate the GHG emissions.

ISO 14064 training: Learning Objectives

On completion of the course, participants shall have adequate knowledge to  establish, implement and maintain a checklist of the principles and requirements of the carbon footprint validation & verification system. ISO50001 contains requirements for management system to alleviate the consumption and conserve the energy. In Hong Kong, the Housing Authority requires its contractors in Hong Kong to procure and obtain this certification in a couple of years. EMSD has enacted regulatory measurement for energy audits to mitigate energy consumption for buildings in Hong Kong.
