Background
In an urbanized and developed area, an
efficient means of communication would be required to drive and stimulate a
sustainable economy. Technological advances in recent years have enhanced the
mode of data communication, increasing the performance in many key social areas
which in turn create a more sustainable environment and better quality of life
for the society. The concept of Smart City depends on technologies and its
associated infrastructure, and these are the components that help to drive the
growth of the environmental management sector. Smart City, therefore can offer
a great deal of opportunities for environmental professionals, including but
not limited to the field of air, energy, water, waste, and materials. This
conference aims to establish a platform for the experts in these specific areas
for sharing local and overseas experience and stimulate initiatives.
