Webinar on Building and Construction - What are the missing hotspots?
In Hong Kong, over 60% of our carbon emissions is attributable to generating electricity for our buildings. However, carbon emissions are released not only during daily usage of electricity but also during the materials manufacturing, transportation, buildings construction and end of life dismantle. These emissions, commonly called embodied carbon, are locked in place as soon as a building is built, contribute around 13% of all global carbon emissions according to Architecture 2030 . Speakers are invited to share their experience and insights in decarbonising embodied carbon in buildings and construction industry.
